Annual Candle Lantern Parade this Thursday!

This Thursday, December 15, please join us for our annual Candle Lantern Parade! The evening will begin at Goody’s at 6pm with story time, then Santa will lead the children to 13th Street Grill, where they will enjoy hot cocoa, a cozy fire, and candle lantern decorating. Then Santa and the children will carol through Hyde Park with their lanterns aglow.

What is a Candle Lantern, you ask? Its a repurposed two-liter soda bottle! Volunteers from North Junior High will help the kiddos turn their bottle into a “lantern” using a pipe-cleaner handle, colored crepe paper, and finishing it off with a well-secured tea light to illuminate their artwork. The Candle Lantern Parade is a North End tradition that we hope you’ll be able to join!

Special thanks to Goody’s, 13th Street Grill and North Junior High for making this event so much fun. Email holli@northendboise.org for more information.
