NENA COMMITTEES
NENA has many committees, each working on different areas of importance to the North End. Committees meet separately from monthly public NENA meetings. Committees volunteers are always welcome and a great way to meet your neighbors and get involved in the neighborhood!
Recruitment Committee: Prior to the annual meeting, or whenever a vacancy exists on the Board of Directors, this committee shall nominate persons for Board positions becoming or that are vacant. They shall also be responsible for recruiting and maintaining a list of all NENA members interested in volunteer activities.
Hyde Park Street Fair Committee: Help organize one of Boise's best traditions: the Hyde Park Street Fair! Started in 1979, the Fair has been a beloved annual tradition for generations with unique vendors, local eats & drinks, and two stages with killer lineups of music and entertainment.
Communications & Outreach Committee: Responsible for the website, social media, community calendars, and other communications to keep neighbors informed and promote neighborhood events.
Historical Preservation Committee: Keeps informed of historical preservation issues, including trees.
Planning & Zoning Committee (P&Z): Serve as a conduit of P&Z topics relevant to the North End; understanding of P&Z processes helpful.
NENA Aid Committee: This committee works to identify charitable opportunities that best benefit North End families, neighbors, and organizations.
Bylaws Work Group: Responsible for the process of bylaw revision. Including best practices and compliance with Idaho Non-Profit Code.
Safe Streets Committee: This committee works to ensure the North End has streets that are safe for all to enjoy.
Block 75 Committee: Gather and communicate the perspectives and interests of stakeholders related to Block 75, the currently-vacant block and site of undetermined future development bordered by 11th, 12th, Hays, and Fort streets, where the Downtown Teaching Farm is located.
