About the event

Join your friends & neighbors for one of the North End's most festive annual traditions: the Children's Candle Lantern Parade!

Children of all ages carry hand-crafted candle lanterns while spreading cheer with carols lead by the North Junior High Choir as we make a loop through Hyde Park.

Event starts at 6:30pm at Goody's in Hyde Park and includes lots of friends both new and old, hot chocolate & candy canes, and the main event: the Annual Candle Lantern Parade! If schedules allow, we'll also get a visit from the Boise Fire Department!

Please pick up a FREE candle lantern kit in advance anytime the week prior to the parade at Goody's in Hyde Park - just ask at the counter. Kits contain everything needed to make a candle lantern. Craft your lanterns at home before the event, and don't forget to bring them along on the 17th!
