Outdoor Service Day in Boise’s North End Neighborhood May 1st

Please join us for an outdoor SERVICE DAY in Boise’s North End Neighborhood on May 1st, from 9am - 12 noon.


We have two locations:


• Memorial Park Playground Surfacing (20-

25 volunteers needed) – volunteers will use shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, etc. to spread 60 yards of bark chips in the playground. All tools will be provided.

We may potentially stain the park’s picnic tables and benches, so please wear work clothes. Bring your own water bottles.


Elm Grove Park Playground Surfacing (20

volunteers needed) – volunteers will use shovels,

rakes, wheelbarrows, etc. to spread 40 yards of bark

chips in the playground. All tools will be provided.

We may potentially stripe the basketball court, so

please wear work clothes. Bring your own water

bottles.

The North End Neighborhood Association (NENA) is a non-profit organization serving Boise’s Historic North End since 1976. NENA represents, preserves, and protects the historic, social, cultural, and environmental character of Boise’s North End neighborhood.

 

Anyone over the age of 18 who lives, works, owns a business, or owns property in the North End Neighborhood is eligible to become a member of NENA.  

We engage neighbors in developing creative solutions for positive change. We have fun celebrating and embracing the diversity of our neighborhood that is essential to civic unity. We listen to, respond to, represent, and collaborate for our neighbors’ interests.
