Welcome to Our Neighborhood Slow Zone!

As a result of community input, ACHD and the City of Boise announced a new program reducing all speed limits in the North End to 20 miles per hour.

ACHD has posted new signs that reflect the new speed limit of 20 mph on 8th Street, 9th Street, 15th Street, 16th Street, Fort Street, Hays Street, and Harrison Boulevard. To support safer pedestrian crossings, high-vis orange flags have been installed at all marked crosswalks on Harrison. The neighborhood slow zone is a pilot program that will be monitored and evaluated on an ongoing basis, with potential for expanding it to other neighborhoods across Boise. Boise Police have increased traffic enforcement and city workers are increasing enforcement of parking ordinances.
